Very short. It teaches techniques:
- to increase reading speed,
- to more quickly grasp and digest information(key work highlight, MindMaps, visualization of information, pre-read survey, etc etc..),
- to improve memory recall.
Useful tips in today's information overload.

Have you put those techniques into practice yet, do they help?
Some yeah:
- the avoiding subvocalization part is quite a speed increase although have to train it for a while. I had no idea such thing would be possible.
- Mind maps and key work noting, was not new to me, but are very useful, I'm using Mind Maps frequently.
- Memorization also very interesting, it does help, and is useful to be aware of on how you tend to forget things.
Depends how much you've read about speed reading, most books talk about similar techniques. I'm guessing some concepts you will know about already, but as a starter kit for someone facing a few years of education ahead is great. Like a: "Learning how to study lesson".
Its a short read, so not much time spent.
